Curling

Curling is new to the CSSC lineup for Winter 2027: a co-ed league on Tuesday evenings at the Crapaud Curling Club.

It isn't the club's first time on the ice. Our Learn to Curl Night at the Crapaud Curling Club in February 2026 brought about thirty members out for a lesson and a night of curling, with equipment included.

How Curling Works

  • Two teams of four take turns sliding granite stones down the ice toward the house, the target at the far end.
  • Each player throws two stones per end. Teammates sweep in front of a moving stone to help it travel farther and straighter.
  • Once all sixteen stones are thrown, the team with the stone closest to the centre of the house scores a point for every stone it has closer than the other team's best one.
  • The team with the most points after the last end wins.

Every league also follows the club policies and code of conduct. More questions? Email charlottetownsport@gmail.com or call or text 902-631-3499.
